Colorful skaters mixed magically at the ILQ-9 Eddy Matzger Workshop in Montreal, Canada, July 16-18, 2004. There was so much budding talent in the deep field of skaters that the eye flowed from one skater to the other in a constantly changing composition.

To some, the workshop made the 24 hour race the preceding weekend seem easy. Most had muscles they never knew existed announce themselves in ways never before felt. Luckily the general consensus was that the hurt was well worth it.

The smoothie effect was in full force. Startling changes were made in every skater's style. The camera did not lie, as skaters on Saturday night could view the personal transformations they had wrought during the day.

Skaters got their fill, and then some. Although overloaded and tired, spirits kept getting lighter. The sweet spot had been hit. TWINCAM, Wigwam, Transpack, Allison, Youri, Bobward, and Mike all made for a huge hit.
