Okay, so there WAS snow on the ground for the millenium's first workshop, but that didn't stop a whole cavalcade of skaters from showing up inside the Dome for a weekend of mind and rear-end burning learning.

Taking advantage of some kind of genetic predisposition to skating, the talented group had no difficulty jump-starting their seasons with Eddy's teaching and encouragement.

Some started anew, some re-tooled, some began completely from scratch. Yet all enjoyed and were sufficiently challenged to want more than just a workout. The Access to Speed Workshop enjoyed support not just from sponsors Salomon, TWINCAM, Explore, Transpack, PowerBar, Wigwam, and Bobward Flynn, but also from local host Connie Ecklund and the Metrodome staff.
