Skaters took great strides by getting touchy-feely about learning at the ILQ-9 Eddy Matzger Workshop, May 2-4 in Detroit, Michigan. They threw their shyness to the wind and started flying on wheels.
For the weekend, the Motor City turned into the Skate City. Inliners ditched their cars and worked on increasing the horsepower and efficiency of their own engines, with startling results.
"I'm here to learn better technique so I can skate with my kids," said one student who succeeded brilliantly "I want to learn how to be more efficient so I can be skating when I'm 80!"
Visteon spoiled the workshop with an awesome parking lot and the use of fantastic facilities. Workshoppers warmed up inside on Saturday morning before the skate portion began, and returned that evening to watch the entertaining and intructive footage in the conference center with a big screen projector.
Special thanks to Transpack, Raymond Verdaguer artwork, TWINCAM, Wigwam, Bobward, CDS Detroit protective gear, and Baway for their big time gonzo help.
