If you're in the backyard of the Athens to Atlanta Roadskate then you've got to have skating on your mind, and that's exactly what a couple of dozen skate-o-philes had going on for a full weekend of getting inline at the the Eddy Matzger Workshop in Atlanta, GA, March 19-21, 2004.

Nearly all the workshop participants have dreams of one days skating A to A faster than the wind, and the workshop provided tip after tip for shaving time off of finishes.

More efficient technique and improved teamwork were two areas of focus that yielded measurable results. Balance and timing were crucial in developing newfound fleet skatedness. Learning how to pass and change positions in the paceline as well as cameraderie and group spirit made skating in groups more pleasurable.

Considering the roly-poly terrain of the state of Georgia, time was also devoted not only to learning how to go fast, but to the very serious business of controlling speed.

Paul and Cindy of the Bohemian Skate School and Barrie and Bob were big reasons why the workshop came off so cleanly.

TWINCAM, Wigwam, Transpack, and Rembrandt toothpaste also made the workshop all the more memorable with great giveaways.
