Peachy keen-ness radiated from the cheeks of an orchard-full of inliners at the Atlanta ILQ-9 Eddy Matzger Workshop, April 11-13, 2003. Some southern skaters even ripened so fast that their pretty cheeks fell off! Often, fallen fruit tastes best. All in all, there's a certain extra something in the air down south, which lends a distinctly full-bodied flavor to miracles in the making. Conscientious preparation and practice mixed with copious amounts of plain good old fashioned silly fun produced the most desirable peaches on a roll you've ever ogled.

Normal foes of gravity and centrifugal force were turned into friends as skaters figured out how to align their hurtling masses in space so as to derive maximum thrust. Straights and turns occupied the masses on Saturday. Sunday workshoppers picked up their crossover underpushes and turned them into double push underhonks.

Bilateral symmetry was a prevalant characteristic among the growing peaches, well formed from all sides and so furry as to beg for facial caressing. Skaters seemed to be more inclined than most to set their support skates down directly under their centers of mass on both sides, helping to develop balanced meat around the pit and a relaxed, efficient habit .

In spite of a few bruises in the bumper crop, the peach harvest was unparalleled in sweetness. Paul and Cindy and Barrie treated all peaches with care. Their love and attention made the workshop one of those wondrous things that overfills your jam jar and makes you want to just keep climbing that peachtree of love!

Thanks also to TWINCAM ILQ-9's, Wigwam socks, Explore race wheels, Transpack goodies, Bob Flynn, Raymond Verdaguer, and, Mua!, the workshop beat even the peachiest of forecasts!
